Job Responsibilities:
• Drive new product development, including design benefit list, draft policy wording, evaluate risk factor and price the product.
• Oversea the creation of competitor comparisons for all products and fronting relationships.
• Develop underwriting rules and processes for the sale of products.
• Assist in the designing of contractual and organizational structure of products.
• Assist in product implementation and ongoing development.
• Conduct research on laws and regulations and monitor regulatory developments of insurance in China.
• Manage the tracking of claims ratios and product performance for existing products.
• Coordinate with the Finance department to provide necessary background information necessary for the completion of annual excess of loss risk surveys.
• Oversee & communicate underwriting issues/controls.
• Assist in reserve calculation reviews.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin language.
• High proficiency in standard spreadsheet and database applications (i.e. Excel and Access, etc.).
• Bachelor degree in business, finance, insurance, statistics, economics, operations research, or similar technical and/or analytical fields (relevant work experience can be substituted).
• Masters degree in same or similar fields is a plus.
• 2 or more years of full-time work experience in underwriting or actuarial analysis with increasing levels of responsibility.
• 5 or more years of full-time total relevant work experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience in both travel and automotive insurance is a plus.
